About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide clinical leadership for its new behavioral health hospital, which is set to open in Fall 2025. The CMO will be responsible for the quality, efficiency, and management of patient care services, defining and implementing clinical protocols, and ensuring that all medical services are in line with the company's mission and strategic priorities. This role involves overseeing patient safety, quality improvement, and performance initiatives, as well as serving as the primary liaison between the medical staff, hospital administration, and the company's leadership. The ideal candidate will have a Medical Degree, be board certified in Psychiatry or a relevant specialty, and have a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a behavioral health setting. The successful CMO will also be involved in medical staff oversight and development, operational and strategic leadership, and regulatory compliance. They must have a strong understanding of behavioral health regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and risk management strategies. Experience in an academic medical center or teaching hospital is highly desirable. The role requires the CMO to champion a culture of clinical excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement, and to work closely with the executive team to develop and execute the hospital's strategic plan. The CMO will also be expected to support the development of outpatient services and community-based programs to enhance care continuity.
