Job Summary:

This role is for the strategic thinker, the data-driven decision-maker and the innovative marketing leader. As a Senior SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and managing comprehensive SEO strategies to drive organic growth, improve website performance, and enhance brand visibility. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SEO initiatives with business objectives, ensuring measurable results and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute SEO strategies: Align on-page, off-page, technical and content strategies with business goals.
    • Keyword Research : Identify high-value keywords and phrases to align with user intent and business objectives.
    • Content Strategy: Collaborate with Content Lead to develop and implement data-driven content strategies that align keyword research insights with audience needs, ensuring both search engine optimization and engaging, high-quality content.
    • On-page Optimization: Design and execute on-page SEO enhancements, including metadata, internal linking, and schema markup.
    • Off-page Optimization : Acquire backlinks from other high-quality websites.
  • Website Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on website performance, providing actionable insights.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the marketing team to define and execute optimization efforts to improve performance.
  • Stay updated on SEO trends and search engine algorithm updates to ensure best practices are implemented.
Qualifications:

Education: Required: Bachelor's degree

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SEO roles, preferably with higher education institutions and/or education service organizations
  • Agency/vendor management experience
  • Experience hiring / managing internal teams

Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of SEO principles and core marketing strategies.
  • Expertise with industry tools like Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, -Experience in industry standard tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, BrightEdge, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio (Data Studio), etc.
  • Expertise with technical SEO: site crawl and error detection, schema, load speed and core web vitals
  • Expertise with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus
  • Proficiency in data analysis and metrics-driven decision-making,
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Team and vendor/agency management expertise
