About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a virtual environment. What You'll Do
Deliver engaging, specialized instruction through virtual platforms tailored to each student's needs.
Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
Collaborate with general education teachers to provide necessary accommodations and modifications.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Conduct virtual meetings with parents, school staff, and other stakeholders.
Provide guidance to families on learning strategies and resources.
Participate in professional development and team meetings to stay ahead of best practices in virtual special education.
What We're Looking For
Education: Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
Certification: Valid North Carolina teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
Experience: At least two years of teaching experience in a school setting.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using virtual learning platforms and educational technology.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to connect with students, families, and colleagues in an online environment.
IEP Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing IEPs effectively.
Self-Motivated: Able to work independently while staying engaged with a collaborative team.
