The Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs is seeking a Receptionist / Retail Store Associate, with strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced office/retail environment and work effectively as part of a small, dynamic team. This position requires flexibility, including the ability to work additional hours or take on extra responsibilities as needed to support store operations and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers and law enforcement association members.

Candidate shall have the following verifiable skills:

Administrative & Technical Tasks

· Perform general administrative and data entry duties.

· Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) effectively.

· Use QuickBooks and Lightspeed POS (preferred).

· Follow all company policies and procedures.

Reception & Communication

· Answer and manage multiple phone lines professionally.

· Interact courteously and tactfully with the public and association members.

· Effectively communicate with fellow associates and management.

· Demonstrate public speaking abilities when needed.

Customer Service & Sales Support

· Demonstrate a customer-first mindset; anticipate customer needs and resolve issues professionally.

· Answer product questions and assist in locating merchandise.

· Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints courteously and effectively.

· Provide accurate product knowledge to customers.

· Promote in-store promotions and offers.

· Collaborate with team members to meet or exceed sales goals.

Retail Operations

· Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash and card transactions accurately.

· Restock shelves, manage inventory, and maintain product displays.

· Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.

· Assist with inventory counts and merchandise tagging.

· May require working at multiple locations as assigned.
