Anticipated hourly range:  $23.30 per hour - $32.70 per hour based on experience (includes shift differential)

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Shift hours for this position are: 9:00pm-5:30am (or until completion), Sunday-Thursday. Must also be available to work the last Friday night of each month due to customer needs.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of the Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations is to support the Warehouse Supervisor through either inbound or outbound management of the warehouse floor and to facilitate effective warehouse operations through direction of warehouse staff, in accordance with operational priorities. In addition, this job assists in coordination of receipt of shipments and scheduling of incoming trucks, as well as making internal appointments. This job also delegates work among the warehouse staff and produces reports on workforce productivity and quality. The Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations also communicates with customers outside the warehouse to communicate disruptions, provide updates on delivery timeframes and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of 10-15 Warehouse Associates

  • Training new employees on company and departmental procedures as appropriate

  • Measuring safety, productivity, and quality standards and ensuring they are met

  • Coordinating housekeeping, inventory control, and complying with all QRA and safety requirement

  • Supporting employees in the distribution center in all functions, including:   Unloading trucks by hand and with the use of material handling equipment, Accurately breaking down and stocking freight in accordance with QRA standards and local procedures , Order processing (accurately picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, and loading products)

  • Leading team meetings

  • Solving minor issues

  • Working in production as needed using an order picker, forklift or other devices

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow up skills

  • 2-4 years experience in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel knowledge preferred

  • Great communication skills (bi-lingual is a plus!)

  • Prior knowledge working with a WMS system

  • Previous experience leading a team and sharing feedback with employees

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (PIT preferred)

  • Flexible schedule
