Level the Playing Field in Education—One Exceptional Hire at a Time

Are you a proactive, people-focused professional with a passion for finding and attracting top talent? MasteryPrep is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead our efforts in identifying, engaging, and hiring exceptional candidates to support our mission of making high-quality test preparation accessible to all students.

In this role, you’ll spearhead the development and enhancement of our recruitment strategies, leveraging tools like LinkedIn Recruiter to actively source high-caliber candidates and build robust talent pipelines for every role. Your focus will be on cultivating relationships with top talent, strengthening our recruitment brand, and delivering a seamless, standout candidate experience.

As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will also oversee our established, full-service hiring process, acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers. From scheduling interviews and coordinating communication, you’ll enable managers to focus on evaluating and selecting the right candidates while you handle the filtering and logistics. This role requires a strategic mindset, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and the ability to balance tactical execution with long-term hiring initiatives to meet MasteryPrep’s ambitious growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively source candidates for current and future roles using LinkedIn Recruiter and other proactive recruitment strategies to build a diverse talent pipeline.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, and facilitating seamless handoffs to hiring managers for interviews.
  • Oversee and enhance our established full-service, centralized hiring process, ensuring efficient scheduling, clear communication, and an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Work closely with managers to support employee retention through improved hiring alignment and onboarding practices.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and HR team members to elevate employer branding and improve the visibility of MasteryPrep as a great place to work.
  • Analyze and report on recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, hire satisfaction, and retention, using data to optimize recruitment strategies.
  • Drive process improvements to continuously enhance hiring efficiency, quality of candidates, and overall candidate experience.
  • Support the planning and execution of recruitment campaigns, including for large-scale hiring initiatives such as contractor hiring for seasonal needs.
  • Stay current on talent acquisition trends, tools, and techniques to keep MasteryPrep competitive in the job market.

About Us

Nearly 90% of low-income students graduate high school without a college-ready ACT or SAT score. MasteryPrep’s mission is to level the playing field in education by offering the most effective test preparation available—made accessible to all students.

Through more than 10 successful years of partnering with school districts and institutions on college readiness services and resources, MasteryPrep has surpassed one million students served since the company’s founding in 2012.

MasteryPrep increased its student outreach by 70 percent in 2021 and is ranked among the Inc. 5000 “Fastest Growing Companies,” featured by “Entrepreneur 360,” and selected among the “Growth Leaders” by Louisiana Economic Development.

When we ask our employees what they love most about working for MasteryPrep, it comes down to the mission, the people, and the challenge.

- The mission: We have a strong mission that truly changes lives and motivates us each day to get up, get better, and make things happen.

- The people: MasteryPrep is as diverse as the student population we serve, valuing employees as individuals, not just the roles they fill.

- The challenge: We don’t believe in "average" or "good enough." We’re growing tremendously and won’t stop until every student has access to a better future.
