Summary:

We are seeking a Structural Steel Estimator to join our team at our Fabrication shop located in Pasadena, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various steel fabrication/architectural construction projects, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on project plans and specifications.
• Analyze project requirements and collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate pricing.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive bids.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget and time constraints.
• Assist in contract negotiations and prepare bid proposals for clients.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in steel fabrication and architectural estimating or a related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience (will consider 2-3 years with the right personality and attitude!)
• Strong knowledge of public bidding practices
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and cost control.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as HeavyBid or Bluebeam is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Bilingual is preferred, not required
