Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Pleasanton, CA (Remote) . Responsibilities include designing and maintaining user-friendly, accessible web applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the digital experience.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and responsive consumer applications that support high traffic volumes.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, architects, and automation engineers, to build customer-facing products.

• Writing high-quality, secure, and performant front-end code while focusing on scalability, security, and accessibility.

• Developing and maintaining responsive web applications optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.

• Staying current with the evolving JavaScript ecosystem and integrating new technologies and frameworks.

• Building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with popular JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, AngularJS, or Vue.js.

• Implementing best practices for UX/UI design, ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.0 AA), and improving user experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in designing and developing secure, consumer-facing web applications.

• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and Functional Programming.

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and web accessibility (WCAG 2.0 AA).

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
