The Challenge:

Understanding the socio-cultural dynamics that shape our global environment is crucial for informed decision-making. As a Socio-Cultural Intelligence Analyst with JCTM, you will leverage your expertise in human geography, cultural anthropology, and intelligence analysis to provide critical insights that impact national security and operational effectiveness.

Challenging Projects:

In this role, you will engage in advanced analytic production, using standard and non-standard human geography (HG) methodologies to provide in-depth analyses of socio-cultural, economic, and geopolitical dynamics. Your work will contribute to the development of models, tools, and insights that enable informed decision-making across the Intelligence Community (IC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all-source analytic production to characterize the dynamics of groups of people globally, including religious, linguistic, ethnic, social, tribal, and occupational domains.
  • Collaborate with IC agencies and Open-Source Libraries to identify and acquire information for creating and exploiting human geography datasets.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and user guides for Human Geography modeling, including production workflows, QA/QC processes, and data dissemination methods.
  • Provide expertise in intelligence production and situational awareness for countries of interest determined by the Government.
  • Design and refine models to analyze vehicle mobility, terrain, socio-economic dynamics, environmental security, and other domains within human geography.
  • Create educational seminars and online tutorials on modeling capabilities and human geography applications for mission partners.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and automation, for human geography exploitation

State-of-the-Art Technology:

Work with cutting-edge geospatial information systems (GIS) platforms, situational awareness tools (SAT), and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant web services to advance human geography analysis and modeling.

Gain expertise in developing and optimizing analytic methodologies while integrating insights from sociology, anthropology, psychology, and political science into actionable intelligence products.

You Have:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • 12 + years of relevant experience, including at least a portion within the past 2 years.
  • Master’s degree*
  • Mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies.
  • Ability to independently define and execute comprehensive research approaches.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and ensuring the analytic rigor of intelligence products.
  • Experience with GIS software and human geography datasets.

Nice to Haves:

  • Expertise in artificial intelligence, automation, and augmentation technologies for human geography.
  • Experience developing models and SOPs for intelligence or defense applications.

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
