LMI seeks a Shipyard Installation Project Site Lead with experience in facility and infrastructure engineering, sensor technology installation, and shipyard operations. As part of our high-performing team, you will be the site lead responsible for coordinating all activities required to replace RFID technology at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard while considering legacy infrastructure constraints. Responsibilities You will be responsible for coordinating the replacement and deployment of shipyard sensor systems, providing infrastructure design and planning technical expertise, coordinating field activities, and overseeing execution as an extension of the Program Management Team. Once systems have been deployed, you will inspect project sites and systems, and identify technical and sustainment issues. You will serve as a site lead executing the deployment activities per plan from installation logistics, testing, and training to ensure a smooth transition to operational status. The role requires you to rely on extensive engineering experience, collaborative stakeholder engagement skillsets, and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
