Salary Range : $33,000 annualized with flexibility, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours : up to 40 hours per week, non-exempt.

Essential Functions Job Summary To perform duties relating to distributions of campus (inter-office) mail and U.S. mail.
Responsible for proper distribution of campus mail and efficient and economical dispatch of U.S. mail. Evaluate applicable Federal regulations and ensure conformity to these regulations.
Core Responsibilities - Responsible for receiving, inspecting, labeling, delivering and storing incoming express mail, freight, packages and priority shipments.
- Processes outgoing express packages, operates a forklift and handles problems of damaged merchandise.
- Assist customers by phone, in person and by email.
- Assists in storing, maintaining and retrieving university records.
- Picks up mail from post office , sorts and delivers mail to mailboxes including inter campus mail.
- Operates postage meter and equipment, determines proper class and most economical postage for all mail.
- Maintain current departmental mailing list for outgoing mail.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - High school graduation or GED.
- Two (2) years of experience as a mail clerk or related.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Ability to proficiently operate a computer, postage meters and other equipment.
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented.

- Valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as applicable.
Working Conditions - May be outside in all weather conditions. Under pressure to meet deadlines and schedules.
- Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
- Must be able to operation a university vehicle.
Physical Demands: - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Should be physically fit to lift and carry heavy mail loads with or without accommodation.
This position will be primarily located
on UTSA Downtown campus . Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
