Akkodis is seeking a Senior Java Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Mclean, VA. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in designing and developing enterprise-level web applications using Java, JEE, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

Rate Range: $70/hr-$72/hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Java Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Designing Enterprise Solutions using Java, JEE, Spring Boot, and related Java Technology stack.

• Work on Design Patterns to architect scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Develop highly scalable enterprise-level web applications and RESTful APIs using Microservices.

• Implement Java Spring Boot for backend services and API development.

• Participate in DevOps practices, focusing on CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and AWS.

• Utilize AWS for infrastructure management, cloud services, and API integrations.

• Demonstrate strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, and PL/SQL.

• Implement Industry Standard protocols related to API Security, including OAuth.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6+ years of IT experience in implementing Java 8, J2EE, and related Java technologies.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, DevOps, and Java Spring Boot.

• Experience in using Design Patterns to build scalable solutions.

• Strong knowledge of Java 8, Multithreading, Microservices, and Advanced SQL.

• Proficiency in Spring core and Spring JPA.

• Experience using GIT, Maven, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).

• Familiarity with Agile delivery processes and effective global team collaboration.

Pay Details: $70.00 to $72.00 per hour
