To thrive as the Quality & Food Safety Manager, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, FDA/local regulations, and quality systems is preferred.
  • Solid leadership, team facilitation, problem-solving, and practical written/verbal communication skills.
  • HACCP certification and bilingual English/Spanish are a plus; PCQI/SQF credentials preferred but not required.

Your responsibilities as the Quality & Food Safety Manager will include:

  • Supervise a small team of quality technicians and batchers, providing both technical and managerial support.
  • Oversee raw materials, sanitation, process parameters, and finished products to meet company, customer, state, and federal standards.
  • Maintain and audit quality programs, manage documentation, and support corrective actions from audits or inspections.
  • Ensure HACCP and Food Safety plans are implemented and monitored; HACCP, PCQI, and SQF Practitioner certifications are a plus.
  • Address noncompliance issues, lead product recall responses, investigate complaints, and communicate findings effectively.
