Overview

We are seeking an Account Director to join our Technology practice. The role is a unique opportunity toplay a pivotal managerial role on one of Allison’s largest technology accounts. In this position, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and management of the account, while coaching and supporting more junior employees. We expect account directors to be well-versed in integrated marketing and communications opportunities that can help better support and address our clients’ growing needs.

This person will also play an active role in additional efforts outside of the day-to-day account work including new business, agency marketing, office culture, employee development and coaching, trainings, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a day-to-day client contact for one of the practice’s largest accounts, driving implementation of strategy and tactics.
  • Oversee development and implementation of integrated strategies, providing direction and support for account managers and senior account executives.
  • Identify clients’ growing needs and align with existing agency offerings.
  • Manage the cross-office account team to drive results and continuously evaluate overall account success against KPIs.
  • Monitor and track account budgets and account team’s hours against scopes of work on a mid-month and monthly basis.
  • Contribute to Allison’s culture (ex: employee experience, inclusive initiatives, professional development).
  • Outline roles and responsibilities for the account teams and re-evaluate regularly.
  • Coach account team members and direct reports to strengthen and develop skillsets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and play a leadership role in RFP responses, pitch preparation and presentations.
  • Promote and uphold Allison’s core values; participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs.

Qualifications

  • Requires prior experience as a manager, supervisor or director in public relations, marketing or a related field. Account Directors at Allison typically have a minimum of 7+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in consumer and B2B technology and corporate communications is a must. Bonus points if you have worked with enterprise brands.
  • Strong understanding of the earned new media landscape with an ability to advise account teams on best practices in product and brand storytelling.
  • Prior experience in budget management preferred.
  • Creative problem-solver deft in identifying greater opportunities for integration between departments and teams.
  • Results-driven with ability to deliver comprehensive measurement programs for clients.
  • Experience in team/account management, as well as direct management preferred.

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $90k-$135k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
