Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed

Pay Range: $22-25/hour

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Billing Specialist to manage and process billing operations for prescriptions and services. This role involves using billing software to invoice healthcare providers for prescriptions and, occasionally, patients for out-of-pocket costs. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy or healthcare billing, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and submit accurate and timely billing for prescriptions to healthcare providers and patients.
• Verify prescription details and ensure compliance with billing regulations and standards.
• Handle claims submission and follow up with providers and payers to resolve discrepancies or denials.
• Maintain and update billing software with accurate patient and provider information.
• Respond to billing inquiries from providers, patients, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve billing workflows and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with billing software and systems; experience with LIFE FILE is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (preferred).

Experience: One year of pharmacy billing, medical billing, or a related field.

Work Location: Hybrid. Remote and in person at our West Palm Beach, FL location.

Ability to Commute/Relocate: Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to the West Palm Beach area before starting work.

Shift Availability:

• Day Shift (preferred).
• Weekends as needed.
