Middle School Substitute Teacher
Part-time
Immediate Hire Position: Middle School Substitute Teacher
Reports to: Middle School Administrative Dean and Middle School Dean of Students
FLSA: Exempt, part-time
Salary Range: $75.00/4-hour day, $150.00/8-hour day
The part-time Middle School substitute will work from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 10:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m., and the full day will be 7:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. During this time, the substitute will substitute for teachers as appropriate, which may include lunch duties. When covering a class, the substitute will facilitate the provided lesson plan and manage the classroom.
Requirements: - Possess bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Interest in teaching or enrolled in an education master program
- Comfortable teaching multiple grade levels (Grades 5-8 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of classroom management strategies
- Flexibility with schedule
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
Preferred: - Two years of teaching experience
- Experience in teaching Singapore Math
- Knowledge of project-based learning and differentiated instruction techniques
