Job Description:

WTI, an accredited institution and the leader in technical “hands-on” training, is seeking a highly motivated  Medical Assistant / Healthcare Administration   Instructor . This position requires at least 3 YEARS experience with front office administrative and clinical skills, including phlebotomy and injections, in a medical setting as a health care professional (RMA, LPN, RN, EMT, etc.). Also have experience in electronic health records, basic pharmacology, and professionalism. The class introduces students to advanced computer usage, basic word processing concepts, and the formatting of documents. A basic understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems; also, insurance billing. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Essential Functions

· Be a True Leader and Champion of your profession.

· Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus provided.

· Supervise independent or group projects, laboratory work, or other training.

· Advise students on academic and vocational concerns.

· Maintain knowledge of relevant student certification testing to ensure class activities support both testing and workplace needs.

· Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, provide feedback and make suggestions for improvement when necessary.

Requirements

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• 3+ year in the field experience as a Medical Assistant or higher
• Previous experience in leadership positions.
• No previous teaching experience is required!

Job Type: Full-Time

The schedule for this position is unique but does provide for a 3-day weekend.

Monday through Thursday Split Shift for Morning and Afternoon Classes

7:50am -12:50pm then return at 5:30pm to 10:30pm for the evening classes

Experience:

• Medical Administration 3 Years (Preferred) 
• Medical Assistant 3 Years (Required) 
• Current Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (Required)

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
