Our Family Medicine department in La Crescent, MN is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join their team. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 28 hours/week = .7 FTE, Monday through Friday, No weekends/holidays. This position will have a home base of La Crescent but will also include Spring Grove one day a week for a half day. Responsibilities include providing LOVE + MEDICINE to patients by greeting them warmly, updating patient information in charting systems, taking vitals, gaining hands-on experience working on procedures with nurses and providers, and partnering with a team of providers, medical professionals, and managers to support patient health journeys. Requirements include graduation from a Medical Assistant program, Practical Nursing program, Vocational Nurse program, or eligibility for NCLEX-PN, or a High School Diploma or equivalency with Medical Assistant Certification, and BLS for healthcare workers.
