Overview

PTC is looking for a team leader for our advanced analytics team that blends software business acumen and technical skill. This role supports company-wide initiatives in predictive modeling and decision support, including: calculating addressable market sizes; predicting customer events and recommending pre-emptive courses of action; building and refining metrics; defining, cleansing, and scaling data; and supporting our digital commerce expansion.

An exceptional candidate will be fluent in common technology terminology, business problems, strategic decision making and be able to support them with technically rigorous data science programs.

This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Customer Initiatives and will join a talented team of colleagues responsible for transforming our customer experience. You will collaborate with a diverse set of executive and senior management stakeholders at the company across all businesses and products.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize areas for opportunity in our customer base.


• Develop end-to-end data science solutions and products to drive the increased success of PTC's customer experience initiatives and teams.


• Provide timely insights to internal stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.


• Partner with other analytics teams, data governance, finance, and revenue operations to ensure that the appropriate data sources are available and organized to enable deeper understanding of PTC's customers.


• Be an advocate for data-driven decision making, evangelizing insights on what\'s working and what\'s not to drive better visibility into PTC\'s business.


• Create custom metrics and reporting to support PTC customer initiatives, particularly within Digital Commerce and Customer Experience.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Ambitious and highly motivated, able to operate in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to structure and execute quantitative and qualitative analysis and translate into insights, recommendations, and innovative strategies.


• Experience in executing cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives in an ambiguous environment.


• Experience leveraging data to make decisions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in STEM; Advanced Degree in Data Science and/or MBA with Analytics preferred.


• 5+ years of experience in business operations or advanced analytics roles.


• Demonstrated leadership and change management experience.


• Fluency in software key metrics (ARR, FCF, Renewal Rate, etc.).


• Experience delivering machine learning models including linear/logistic regression, gradient boosting, tree models, clustering; packages such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, etc.


• Coding proficiency in Python and familiarity with code versioning tools (Git, Bitbucket, Ubuntu).


• Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, Looker).
