- Contract Duration: 11 months, likely to convert to permanent
- Worksite Location: Eden Prairie, MN
- Compensation: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
What you’ll do as a Mail Clerk: - Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages promptly
- Process outgoing mail, including weighing, affixing postage, and ensuring postal compliance
- Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, envelope openers, and letter-folding machines
- Maintain precise records of incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
- Monitor inventory and order mailroom supplies like envelopes, stamps, and packaging materials
- Provide front desk coverage during lunch breaks and PTO absences
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to appropriate contacts
- Assist with processing FedEx shipments and manage the shared inbox for shipping requests
- Support invoice processing for mailroom vendors (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, TNT Express, Royal Mail, Canada Post, Purolator, Pitney Bowes, Iron Mountain)
- Track and manage postage machine leases and monthly invoice payments
What you need to become a Mail Clerk: - High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in a mailroom or administrative support role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of postal regulations and mailroom equipment
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mail-processing software preferred
- Ability to foster positive change and drive results in a large, diverse organization
