Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Jira Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will assist in managing and optimizing our Jira environment, supporting project teams, and ensuring smooth operations of our project management tools. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and administration of Jira and related tools.
  2. Support users with Jira-related inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements and implement Jira workflows.
  4. Assist with creating Jira training and maintaining support documentation on Jira.
  5. Design, maintain, and troubleshoot complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
  6. Participate in system upgrades and enhancements.
  7. Assist in managing user permissions and access controls.
  8. Generate reports and dashboards to support project tracking and performance analysis.
  9. Quality check and test user requested data uploads into Jira.

Skills:

  • Experience with Jira administration or similar tools (e.g., Confluence, Trello).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Experience with researching, evaluating, installing, and managing JIRA add–on.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Preferred Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience in Jira administration or a related role.
  • Basic understanding of Jira and Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and tools.
