Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Java Tech Lead for a Contract job with a client in New York, NY / Pittsburgh, PA /Lake Mary, FL (Hybrid) . Responsibilities include architecting complex web applications, leading technical decision-making, and mentoring junior developers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java Tech Lead job responsibilities include:
Architecting and designing complex web applications using Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).
Leading technical decision-making on technology selection, best practices, and code standards.
Mentoring and coaching junior developers on Java development principles and best practices.
Contributing to the design and development of user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular).
Implementing server-side logic, data access layers, and APIs using Java and related frameworks.
Optimizing application performance and scalability.
Estimating project timelines, resource requirements, and breaking down projects into manageable tasks.
Monitoring project progress, addressing roadblocks, and ensuring timely delivery.
Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Facilitating communication between development teams and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
13+ years of experience in Java development and leading technical teams.
Strong expertise in Java, Spring, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
Experience with Kafka, Camunda (or equivalent workflow tool), and front-end technologies like Angular.
