The IT Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum’s Information Technology environments to assure system integrity and availability. Under general supervision of the Senior Director of Operations, supervise, direct, plan, schedule and monitor all computer and phone programs for the facility. Also supervise, direct, plan, schedule and monitor all special projects related to facility computing, digital signage, scoreboard, ribbon board, cellular and phone systems. The IT Manager reports directly to the SR. Director of Operations. Essential Functions include overseeing Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum technologies and services, supporting network, internet, and telephony systems, managing and delivering tech services for events, developing standard operating procedures, managing and scheduling staff and vendors, employee onboarding and offboarding, overseeing maintenance agreements, managing cellular 3rd parties under contract, developing and executing strategic initiatives focused on venue technology, and keeping inventory of technology systems for Life Cycle Management and budgeting purposes. Required Qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) with BS in IT or Computer Science preferred, 5+ years of experience in IT or Computer Engineering, experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, IT Support experience, experience with networking, telephony, troubleshooting, project management, and technical support, ability to learn and problem solve, interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and preferred experience working with Daktronics, ANC, or similar systems in an arena setting.
