We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential AV Technician to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. You will be a key player in the design, installation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art audiovisual systems for our residential clients. With your experience in low voltage electrical components, Control 4, structured cabling, video surveillance, access control, audio visual, camera, and luxury lighting, you will provide exceptional service and support to our clients. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Design, install, and maintain residential audiovisual systems, including home theaters, media rooms, distributed audio, and video systems.
- Install and troubleshoot low voltage electrical components, structured cabling, video surveillance, and access control systems.
- Program and configure Control 4 systems and other home automation platforms.
- Conduct site surveys and work with clients to understand their AV needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
- Provide training and support to clients on the use of their AV systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and client interactions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an AV Technician.
- Proven experience installing and maintaining low voltage electrical components, structured cabling, video surveillance, access control, and audio visual systems.
- Strong knowledge of residential AV systems and home automation platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex AV systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Willingness to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
- High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in a related field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CEDIA, InfoComm, etc.) are preferred.
