Job Description
We are hiring a Freight Pay Analyst responsible for supporting freight payment invoices and dispute auditing as processed through Pittsburgh Paints Company Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
You will learn the functionality of the TMS in freight payment so that proper actions can be taken in the system to resolve invoicing disputes and rating discrepancies identified by transportation carriers or displayed as rejected by the TMS system. You may also support multiple projects related to data gathering, metrics/reporting and other department efforts related to freight payment.
You will work a hybrid schedule in Cranberry Twp, PA while reporting to the Transportation Manager.
Key Responsibilities - Review and validate Pittsburgh Paints Company invoices through several freight pay platforms.
- Communicate with carriers to help answer questions related to invoices, freight pay platform processes, and payment status.
- Ensure freight terms are accurate within SAP.
- Be a backup within the OSD (overages, shortages and damages) department.
- Provide weekly/monthly report coding to finance.
- Review aging statements sent by carriers.
- Cross-functional coverage/training and ad-hoc logistics and distribution process related projects.
- Maintain TMS system, understand industry terms and fundamental knowledge of transportation modes (e.g., dry van truckload, bulk truckload, less-than-truckload - LTL) and transportation carrier pricing structures.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of experience is required. Logistics or Finance experience a plus!
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS) experience.
- Experience in data analytics.
- Excel experience preferred.
