Job Title: Financial Advisor at First Citizens State Bank in Whitewater, WI.

Job Summary:

A Financial Advisor offers professional financial planning services to clients by analyzing their financial needs and providing tailored solutions. They work with clients to assess their financial goals and objectives, and recommend investment strategies, insurance options, and other financial products to ensure clients’ financial well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with clients, assess their financial goals and review their financial plans.
  • Prepare clients for meetings by gathering relevant financial information and ensuring all paperwork is in order.
  • Communicate financial strategies and options in a clear and understandable manner.
  1. Financial Planning and Strategy:
  • Analyze clients' financial situations, including income, assets, liabilities, and other financial information.
  • Develop personalized financial plans to meet the client's goals, such as retirement planning, tax optimization, or debt management.
  • Offer recommendations for investment strategies, insurance products, and other financial tools that align with client goals.
  • Provide guidance on investment portfolios, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, and other asset classes.
  • Help clients diversify their investments to minimize risk and optimize returns.
  • Help clients plan for their retirement by recommending retirement accounts like IRAs, 401(k)s, or pension plans.
  • Analyze clients' current retirement savings and project future needs to ensure a comfortable retirement.
  1. Administrative Support
  • Assist with the preparation of financial documents, reports, and presentations for meetings.
  • Manage and update client records in the financial planning system, ensuring that all client data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Handle the processing of client paperwork, such as account forms, applications, and transactions.
  • Coordinate the filing and storage of client documents, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
  1. Continual Learning and Development:
  • Stay informed about changes in financial laws, investment products, and market trends.
  • Attend seminars, workshops, and certifications to continually enhance financial expertise and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certifications and Licenses:
  • Series 7, Series 63, or other relevant FINRA licenses (for securities trading).
  • Life and health insurance licenses (if advising on insurance products).
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or administrative roles, preferably in a financial services or investment firm

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, insurance, and tax laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
