About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of providing year-round academic support, advising, and advocacy to talented students from under-resourced communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership of the organization, including strategic planning, fundraising, and maintaining financial stability. This role demands a visionary leader with a deep commitment to educational equity, particularly for first-generation and underrepresented students. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and program partners to set and achieve strategic goals, and will be the primary tone setter for the organization's inclusive and diverse culture. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include team leadership, resource development, community engagement, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the nonprofit sector, with experience in education, youth development, or college access/success. They must be adept at fundraising, with a proven track record of securing philanthropic support, and be familiar with the local philanthropic, political, and educational sectors. Cultural responsiveness, empathy, and the ability to build strong community relationships are essential. The role also requires a leader who is people-centered, approachable, and able to engage in meaningful dialogue to ensure the organization's values are upheld. A Bachelor's degree is required, and prior executive-level experience in a nonprofit or purpose-driven organization is a must.
