Position Title: Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator Department: EHS

Reports To: Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager Location: Sumter, South Carolina.

Position Summary: Assist the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager with field compliance for all EHS permits, programs, and regulatory requirements. Assist the EHS Manager with meeting all assigned EHS Department deadlines. To provide support to ensure the Company complies with all applicable EHS regulations and Company policies in the facility. To demonstrate excellence.

Essential Job Accountabilities:

1. Monitor, audit, and inspect the facility to ensure compliance with Federal and State safety and health and environmental permits and regulations.

2. Provide guidance to facility personnel to address operating issues in order to ensure compliance.

3. Work with facility operations in areas of EHS compliance.

4. Track EHS training requirements and coordinate scheduling with EHS Manager, as assigned.

5. Demonstrate the ability to become knowledgeable of environmental permit field requirements (e.g., RCRA, CAA, and CWA) and applicable OSHA regulations and programs applicable to GRR including OSHA regulations and programs and site policies.

6. Responsible for accurate and truthful information related to assigned projects and tasks.

7. Responsible for conducting and documenting certain routine assigned inspections (e.g., SPCC, Stormwater etc.)

8. Responsible for immediately informing the Plant Manager, EHS Manager, and HR Manager of problems and other information which they should be aware of.

9. Independently complete or act as a project lead for third-party contractors in plant activities to maintain on-going compliance, including: environmental media and waste sampling

10.Responsible for performing EHS audits, as assigned.

11. Responsible for implementing stop work authority due to unsafe or non-compliant conditions.

12. Revise and improve plans that are deficient or outdated, develop, and implement plans that do not currently exist, as assigned.

13. Independently identify and correct EHS hazards based on compliance with applicable EHS regulations.

14. Participate and deliver safety training, safety topic meetings, and task training, as assigned.

15. Perform accident/ incident investigations, as assigned.

16. Responsible for working with site security to maintain safe workplace in accordance with regulations and site requirements.

17. Serve as EHS support advisor to the site personnel regarding applicable sites EHS standards.

18. Interface with site personnel to maintain good relations.

19.Promote job safety and compliance in his/her job throughout the company. Promote environmental stewardship and safety in his/her role within the company.

20. Responsible for carrying out company.

21. Creates and maintains an orderly and neat work area.

22. Serve in a back-up capacity when the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager is unavailable, as assigned.

23. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned from time to time by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager, Plant Manager, and/or the Corporate EHS Department.

Essential Job Requirements:

EDUCATION Minimum two-year degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, occupational health and safety, or related field.

EXPERIENCE Minimum of one year of experience in environmental, health, and safety, chemistry or related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS Effective written and oral communication skills; demonstrated organizational and delegation abilities; must be able to successfully interact in a team environment as well as work independently; good work ethic; firm and fair in difficult situations; good coaching skills. Interest and ability in field EHS compliance programs. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point.

PREFERRED SKILLS Experience working in and around the heavy manufacturing industry, EHS compliance experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to physically inspect plant properties where climbing steps, ladders and physical exertion is required. Respirator use will be required. Ability to wear required PPE. May be required to lift 50 pounds.

REQUIRED SCHEDULE On-site Monday to Friday, flexible 8-hour workday, with potential weekend hours as required. Will work outside in weather conditions.
