Electrical Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Know how to write both technical and conditional reports.
• Interpret company policies, enforce safety regulations, and analyze and resolve problems to/with workers.
• Assign duties to workers and establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Able to inspect any Electrical work and assure that it will meet all QA Standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Interpret details of a work package such as:
  • Technical information
  • Specification Items
  • Drawings
  • Manuals
  • Sketches
  • Blueprints
• Must adhere to and have knowledge of applicable documents, references, and safety guidelines including, but not limited to the following:
  • Government Standards
  • NAVSEA Standard Items
  • MSC General Technical Requirements (GTR)
  • General Specifications/Overhaul of Ships
  • OSHA 2268
• Able to withstand environmental factors such as:
  • Outside weather conditions
  • High, precarious places
  • Exposed to fumes and airborne particles
  • Very loud noise level
• Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
• Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
  • Stooping
  • Bending
  • Squatting
  • Climbing (including but not limited to, vertical and incline ladders, masts, and kingposts)
  • Crawling (including but not limited to, through scuttles, manhole covers, tanks, and voids)

Experience Requirements:

• 5 Years as a supervisor on a ship.
• 10 years as a Electrician in a shipyard.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to pass Drug Screening, Work Ability Screening.
• Must be able to obtain a Government facility security pass.
