About Van Wagner College

Our College division manages sponsorship and multimedia rights for over 40 NCAA athletic departments and conferences across the U.S., creating advertising, marketing, and promotional opportunities across various media including TV, radio, websites, social media, signage, print, e-newsletters, fan experiences, and event activations.

About The Director Of Sales Role

This role is vital in supporting local college or conference teams. We seek entrepreneurial, driven, team-oriented self-starters eager to grow a career in sports marketing. The position involves building relationships, prospecting, negotiating, and managing sponsorship agreements, including fulfillment and activations, primarily in support of a specific collegiate partner.

Responsibilities Include

• Building and maintaining relationships with local businesses, the campus community, and athletics departments or conference offices.
• Growing existing sponsor partnerships and prospecting new business opportunities.
• Conducting discovery meetings, shaping partnership proposals, and negotiating sponsorship deals.
• Drafting agreements, managing relevant data, and fulfilling sponsorship benefits across multiple platforms.
• Collaborating on game day sponsor activations and capturing proof of performance.
• Updating activities in the CRM system (Salesforce).

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in marketing, advertising, sales, or events preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with compensatory time off and remote options.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms; CRM experience required.
• Must have a clean driving record.
