Job Description:

The Director of Client Events is responsible for the strategic coordination of large scale client-focused events designed to engage and retain clients, enhance the firm's brand presence, and drive business growth. This individual will assist the Director of Marketing & Ownership team with the overall client events strategy and lead the client events team in event management from concept through completion, including live, virtual, and hybrid events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning within the financial services or wealth management industry, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality client experiences. They will also have experience with contract negotiation, budgeting and marketing strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in event planning, preferably within the financial services or wealth management industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing both large-scale and intimate events, with an emphasis on client and prospect engagement.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal colleagues, stakeholders, clients, and external vendors.
  • Proficiency in virtual event platforms (Zoom) and event management software; Salesforce, Hubspot and Eventbrite.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive decision-making and measure event success.
  • Ability to travel for events as needed up to 25%.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

As our Director of Client Events, you’ll lead our events team to ensure everything runs smoothly, building lasting relationships with clients and prospects along the way. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

Leadership :

  • Lead a team of onsite event coordinators (currently a team of 12) providing guidance, direction and support.
  • Facilitate biweekly 1 on 1 meetings with all direct supports and lead team meetings weekly.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of event coordinators, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes creativity, innovation, and client satisfaction.

Event Strategy & Planning :

  • Execute a comprehensive events strategy to engage current and prospective clients, aligned with the company’s business goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and client service teams to identify opportunities for client engagement and event-driven lead generation.
  • Create a calendar of events, including webinars, seminars, client appreciation events, educational workshops, and exclusive VIP gatherings.

Event Execution :

  • Lead all aspects of event logistics, including vendor management, budgeting, and contract negotiation.

Client Experience & Engagement :

  • Focus on creating exceptional client experiences, ensuring that each event is tailored to the specific needs and interests of the target audience.
  • Monitor client engagement during and after events, using feedback and data analysis to refine future event strategies.
  • Work closely with relationship managers to identify top-tier clients for personalized event invitations and experiences.

Budget Management & ROI Analysis :

  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
  • Analyze the success of events through metrics like attendee engagement, lead generation, and ROI to optimize future event planning and spending.

Vendor & Partner Relationships :

  • Maintain relationships with external vendors, including caterers, venues, technology providers, and other event service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure that all service providers deliver according to the company’s standards.

Position Details:

  • Location: 4600 S. Syracuse Street, Denver, CO 80237
  • Commitment: 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule around events.
  • Compensation: Starting salary range is $90,000 to $110,000, plus a generous benefits package.
