Precision Construction and Painting is one of Southern California's largest Multifamily Reconstruction Contractors. We’re seeking a talented Construction Estimator/Project Coordinator to join our successful, collaborative team and contribute to our continued growth! In this role, you will use your expertise to develop a scope of work from the provided RFP and create supporting documentation, spreadsheets, proposals, and presentations. It is your responsibility to price a project accurately. You will also manage the upcoming proposals, due dates, and project revisions. It is crucial to draft compelling proposals and foster clear communication between our team, property managers, and all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- 10 years of management experience

- 10 years of estimating experience

- 10 years of work experience specific to exterior carpentry or painting

Experience:

- Project scope creation

- Bid documentation:

- Proven success in managing the Bid process from RFP to final submission

- Knowledge of pricing. From the cost of doors to lumber to paint.

- Knowledge of labor rates for carpenters and painters

- Knowledge of how long tasks take for specific trades

- Familiarity with the permitting process and relevant regulations is a valuable asset

- Knowledge of multiple trades. Specifically framing.

Relevant Trade Knowledge

- Carpentry: Exterior trim, fascia, beams, posts

- Structural framing: Rebuilding staircases, footings, and cantilever joists

- Reskin: Remove and replace siding at a large scale

- Painting: Exteriors

- Waterproofing: balconies, walkways, pool decks

Skills:

- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and Word/Google Docs

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to compose a thorough, detailed proposal independently

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to read plan details for structural elements

Duties:

- Review incoming RFPs

- Develop a scope of work

- Write specifications for each scope of work

- Create individual line items

- Build spreadsheets to calculate pricing

- Compose project proposals

- Contract revisions

- Submit change orders

- Build Reports to supplement our wood inspections

- Compile data for presentations

- Assist with populating spreadsheets and compiling data for the senior estimators.

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm

- No remote work
