COMMERCIAL DRYWALL ESTIMATOR - CHARLOTTE, NC
Company Introduction: Solid Rock Recruiting partners with forward-thinking commercial drywall contractors who emphasize excellence, integrity, and employee development. Our client, an established commercial drywall contractor in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a dedicated Estimator to join their growing team.
Position Overview:
The Commercial Drywall Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial drywall projects while maintaining the highest standards of precision and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work with a respected contractor on projects exceeding $1MM in value.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff software
• Calculate material quantities and labor costs for commercial drywall projects
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals
• Review architectural drawings and specifications
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers
• Participate in scope review meetings
• Support project handoff to operations team
• Maintain relationships with general contractors and vendors
• Assist in value engineering opportunities
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience
• Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid software
• Strong understanding of metal stud framing and drywall systems
• Experience with projects valued at $1MM+
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with commercial tenant improvement projects
• Knowledge of acoustical ceilings and specialty finishes
• Familiarity with ON-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating tools
• Experience in pre-construction services
