About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to ensure clinical compliance with all medical policies, staffing, and performance standards. The CMO will be the primary medical and clinical point of contact, providing professional medical services and overseeing the maintenance of certification and training for all medical providers. This role also involves direct patient care, including primary care for clients, and ensuring access to a range of healthcare services in collaboration with the care team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years' leadership experience in a healthcare setting, a strong understanding of Federal regulations related to the operation of a Federally Qualified Health Center, and a background in treating a culturally diverse population. Key responsibilities for the CMO at the company include directing and overseeing all clinical and quality functions, establishing and improving standards of care, and managing a large provider team. The CMO will also be involved in strategic planning to enhance clinical performance, managing clinical policies and protocols, and ensuring compliance with government requirements. The position requires a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy with board certification in a primary care specialty, and the candidate must have an active, unrestricted medical license in the State of North Carolina. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills are essential, as is experience in utilization management, quality management, and patient safety programs. The CMO will be expected to mentor new providers, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate training to ensure the highest level of care for patients.
