About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as a key leader in the provision of quality and cost-effective healthcare. The CMO will be responsible for creating and maintaining superior relationships with physicians, securing their input into major decisions, and setting universal standards for patient care. This role requires a graduate from an accredited medical school, board certification in a medical specialty, and a Master's degree in a related field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of clinical practice, with at least 5 years in executive leadership, and a proven track record in leading and implementing quality improvement initiatives. The CMO will work closely with the medical staff and hospital leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and compassionate care. Essential functions include supporting the formal medical staff function, promoting all programs and services to referring physicians, and providing leadership development opportunities. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, with advanced interpersonal, management, and organizational skills, and will be expected to demonstrate the core values of the organization, including reverence, commitment to those experiencing poverty, safety, justice, stewardship, and integrity. The role also involves participating in strategic and operating plans, service line development, and managed care strategies, and requires the ability to work in a complex matrix reporting environment.
