Duration : Until 02/27/2026 with a high possibility of extension

Location: Multiple Michigan locations with flexible office-based or hybrid work options. Preferred location is Jackson, MI (49201), though other service centers may be considered by the hiring manager.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Design Technician II to support the civil construction of natural gas infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with MicroStation and drafting construction drawings to create clear, accurate, and practical designs for various project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop MicroStation drawings to support the civil construction of natural gas infrastructure projects.
• Create standard detail drawings in MicroStation.
• Conduct analysis of external/third-party designs using internal tools and ensure compliance with required specifications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering staff to ensure design alignment and project goals.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of construction drawing packages, including civil site design, foundation design, and structural design.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with computer applications and drafting construction drawings.
• Ability to create clear and precise designs that effectively communicate project requirements to contractors.
• Designs must prioritize safety, ergonomics, and practicality.
• Preferred experience with Bentley products, including MicroStation, OpenPlant, and ProjectWise.
