About the Role - For this on-site role in Aurora, Ohio, as our Buyer you will purchase items, materials, and services including those of a more technical and specialized nature, specifically custom compounds. You will also manage the inventory and prepare production schedules to establish cadence and lead time of each operation to ensure timely shipping in accordance with sales forecasts, customer orders, and internal demands.

Primary Responsibilities of the Buyer include:

• Placing and monitoring purchase orders and subsequent deliveries.
• Communicating requests for return authorizations with vendors including a summary of the technical problems or concerns. Issuing debit memos and replacement purchase orders.
• Investigating inventory shortages and discrepancies. Conducting root cause analysis and implement improvements.
• Ensuring that inventory transactions for raw materials are accurate and timely.
• Maintaining records and preparing summary reports for evaluation.
• Conducting and maintaining an accurate inventory of items that are purchased.
• Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data to plan for production and shift schedules and to make recommendations regarding workforce requirements.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Material Management, Logistical Management or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience as a buyer or planner/scheduler.
