Description:

The Buyer will manage materials for all vendor accounts across the Silver Falls Capital portfolio. This includes purchasing to AVL (Approved Vendor List) for assigned commodities/suppliers, working with suppliers, master scheduler, and program manager to achieve optimized MOQ’s (minimum order quantity), minimizing obsolete and excess inventory, minimizing PPV (purchase price variance) and inventory turns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage vendors to ensure provided materials meet quality and delivery standards
• Resolve and countermeasure line-down situations
• Manage the control of inventory through cycle counts and root cause analysis of discrepancies
• Participate and initiate continuous improvement through the use of Sportworks Business System lean tools
• Establish and maintain materials 5S (Kanban card management, labeling, ERP audits, etc)
• Maintain and adhere to Buyer standard work and provide training to others on the same (as applicable)
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
• Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing purchase orders and tracking the delivery of goods and services
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

• Proven ability to problem-solve in complex issues that arise from inventory
• High level of proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivots, if/then, charts, graphs, etc.)
• Self-starter who seeks out ways to improve processes and drive standard work
• Ability to be effective in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication (role is vendor and internal customer-facing)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working directly in mechanical or engineering environments
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools (Kaizens, improvement workshops, etc.), and continuous improvement techniques
• Use of ERP

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Be flexible, adaptable, able, and willing to modify activities and direction in an ever-changing business environment
• Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• This position requires the employee to be on-site at our Woodinville, WA office. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
