(GLI) is seeking a Board-Certified Nuclear Medicine Physician to support the Lexington VA Medical Center. The provider will perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT and SPECT imaging, and radionuclide therapies in accordance with facility and government protocols.Duties Include:
Perform and interpret nuclear medicine scans using SPECT, PET, and hybrid imaging.
Administer and monitor radionuclide therapies, including I-131, Lu-177, and others.
Evaluate patients, obtain informed consent, and manage follow-up care as needed.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with referring clinicians.
Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, facility policies, and radiation safety standards.
Document all procedures and encounters in the hospital electronic medical record (CPRS/Vista).
Participate in quality improvement activities and peer review.
Requirements:
Citizenship (required)
Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Nuclear Medicine
Active, unrestricted medical license in a state or territory
Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine experience post-residency preferred
Must pass background check and credentialing
Familiarity with systems such as CPRS and Vista preferred
