Automotive Accountant

We are a growing multi-franchise auto dealer that is seeking an Automotive Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting career opportunity for a driven individual to succeed in a company that takes pride in developing and promoting employees from within.

Qualifications:

• Full charge Automotive bookkeeping experience
• CDK experience a plus
• Proficient computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office applications
• Thorough understanding of automotive administrative and accounting functions
• Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong follow-up abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Professional and dependable team-player

Responsibilities include:

• Cost and post deals to the general ledger
  
• Audit deals for accuracy and compliance
• Handle vehicle floorplan and payoffs
• Calculate, process, and submit commissions
• Examine and maintain all accounting schedules
• Review and management of CITs and all other manufacturer and customer receivables
• Complete various journal entries and statement postings, process/route other necessary paperwork
• Handle inquiries from various dealership personnel
• Assist Office Manager and Controller with monthly close and other tasks as needed
